The more I look at religion, the more I dislike it and what it does to the world and its people. This blog will help you understand why religion is something you shouldn't accept as a good thing in our lives. Above all, don't respect religious beliefs when their practitioners refuse to respect you.
This is one of my favourite short stories of all time, and every single time I read it it brings tears to my eyes. Unfortunately that means that it's difficult for me to read it aloud without blubbing! However I spent an enjoyable part of yesterday giving it my best shot. I hope you like it. It's a wonderful story and I've tried to do it justice. More information about the author can be found in the O Henry Wikipedia entry, and the story itself has its own entry - see The Gift of the Magi (spoiler warning: don't visit the page until you've listened to the story first).
